Whole-Home Backup With FranklinWH aPower 2
A single FranklinWH aPower 2 provides 15 kWh of storage and up to 10 kW of continuous output for whole-home backup, including appliances such as an air conditioner, washing machine and water pump, subject to system design and load requirements.
The FranklinWH system can connect up to 15 aPower batteries per aGate for 225 kWh. Power and capacity will scale up as you add more batteries, matching your dynamic energy needs.
Innovative Thermal Management
The aPower 2 is rated to operate from -4 F to 122 F and can operate up to 131 F at derated output. It uses natural cooling and automatic heating to support performance across a wide temperature range.

The aGate integrates and expertly manages various power sources such as solar, batteries, generators, and EVs to optimize energy supply and consumption, elevating your home energy efficiency.
For those homeowners with time of use (TOU) billing or who wish to participate in a local utility’s virtual power plant (VPP) program, the aGate switches energy loads to home and provides power back to the grid to take advantage of those home savings and revenue generating programs.
It also seamlessly transitions between grid power and backup sources during outages, maintaining an uninterrupted power supply to the home.
